Dragon’s Den is a Canadian reality show where business owners have an opportunity to pitch their business plans to potential investors. In exchange for the Dragon’s expertise and business connections, entrepreneurs potentially give up a part of their company to the Dragons in the hopes of taking their business to the next level.
Kim Renton and Kathy Young Keefe, two former nurses turned enterprising businesswomen, invented the Envy Pillow, a product they believed would revolutionize the meaning of a good night’s sleep. Designed to reduce wrinkles, decrease neck pain and improve overall sleep quality and comfort, Envy Pillow was set to take the Canadian market by storm and they looked to the Dragons for help.
With the national exposure from their appearance on the show and the hard work the co-founders had invested over the previous 4 years, sales quickly spiked and they realized they had outgrown their existing fulfillment capability.
